Automobiles in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities stated they were notified by a man who found a car in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Around fifty cars have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Police say they were contacted late on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.

The liquid had been placed in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then found numerous other marked vehicles and house walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Officials report initial examinations show the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no indication as to its source; investigators are not yet informed of any injuries in connection with the event," they stated.

Local authorities announced they were trying "to resolve the incident" and have requested to the public for details.

An important official commented the vandalism left him without words and had to be resolved promptly.

"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the right-wing violent incident half a decade ago," he wrote on online, mentioning the killing of nine people by a shooter targeting people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
